The Napa Valley Education Foundation (NVEF)...Celebrating 30 Years of Engaging and Equipping Students for Educational Excellence and Success!

About the Napa Valley Education Foundation:

Founded in 1983, the mission of the Napa Valley Education Foundation is to provide leadership and mobilize the resources of our community in support of the initiatives and priorities of the Napa Valley Unified School District.

Our Vision: Great public schools inspire all children to achieve their potential and become vital members of our community.

We believe…

    • Great schools create great communities!
    • All children should achieve their potential
    • Teachers inspire the passion for learning
    • Families are instrumental to student success

We support...strategies that engage and equip students for educational excellence!

    • Creativity and the arts
    • Technology-infused learning
    • College and Career Readiness

Examples of how we have engaged and equipped students and their teachers over the past thirty years include:

    • Over $1.5 million of Teacher Grants to support educational innovation
    • Teacher of the Year Awards honoring educator excellence
    • Music Connection, a program that leases instruments so students can participate in music education and supports student music performances
    • Napa Valley Writing Project, offering hundreds of students the opportunity to write and publish their own novel
    • Beginning in 2012, we are proud to administer the Spencer+Colton Gold Star grants to teachers.
