I invite you to join me in support of the Taste for Knowledge Holiday Gala that will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel and Spa. It will be a special evening for friends and colleagues alike, to enjoy a delicious gourmet dinner, fantastic wines, entertainment and exceptional live and silent auction lots.

As a member of the Napa Valley Vintners community, I ask for your help in the form of special wine lots, older vintages, vertical selections, large format bottles and case lots, winery luncheons or dinner, overnight accommodations or an imaginative donation of your choice! Your donation will be appropriately displayed and noted as part of the Auction Catalog and Online Preview.

A great community must have great public schools! The Napa Valley Education Foundation (NVEF) believes that great public schools inspire all children to achieve their full potential and become vital members of the community. The NVEF mobilizes our community’s resources to provide district wide support for every school and student in the Napa Valley Unified School District’s elementary, middle and high schools. Please, help us, help the students; we need your help more now than ever!

Your commitment and contribution by donating to the auction will help insure the success of these wonderful NVEF programs, among others:

• Proven Educational Innovations - Ensures all students are receiving the individualized learning they need. Provide access and opportunity for every student while eliminating the achievement and opportunity gaps among students. Supports classroom innovation and student centered learning.
• Supplies for Success - Spencer Colton Gold Star Teacher Awards provides needed classroom supplies to teachers and students alike.
• The Music Connection supports equitable access to music education through instrument rentals, workshops, festivals and tutoring.
